## Canonical thesis
The person beside the name can carry finance, operations, relationships, governance, contradiction, and continuity—capacity that should be documented rather than erased as support.

## Complete editorial sequence
Fashion’s public grammar places one name on the label, yet a durable house may depend on a business partner who translates ambition into cash flow, contracts, production capacity, hiring, distribution, controls, and difficult refusals. Public corporate filings can reveal titles, board structures, voting arrangements, and executive duties, but those records do not measure trust, taste, informal influence, or invisible care.

The institutional task is to map the partnership without manufacturing a second heroic myth. Creative, executive, board, voting, economic, employment, and relational authority are distinct. Under Delaware corporate law, board authority has a defined statutory frame for Delaware corporations; actual power also depends on governing documents, agreements, facts, and jurisdiction. A partner map must therefore bind each claimed authority to evidence and send disputed legal questions to counsel.

### 01 · CAPACITY — What burden leaves the founder?
Name the decisions, relationships, records, calendars, risks, and emotional labor the partner carries. Replace “business side” with observable work and consequences.

Evidence: INFERENCE · S35, S36

### 02 · AUTHORITY — What may each person decide?
Write decision rights as verb plus object, threshold, required consultation, override, evidence, and appeal. Separate custom from enforceable authority.

Evidence: VERIFIED · S50, S51, S52

### 03 · ECONOMICS — How are value and downside shared?
Map equity, votes, salary, royalty, bonus, expenses, guarantees, vesting, transfer, dilution, information, and exit separately. Public filings are examples, not templates.

Evidence: INFERENCE · S36, S37

### 04 · BREAK — What happens when alignment ends?
Run deadlock, incapacity, departure, nonperformance, acquisition, founder conflict, and reputational crisis through the actual governance and contract records with qualified counsel.

Evidence: PROPOSAL · S49, S50, S52

## Counterargument
Celebrating the operational partner can obscure staff, workers, advisers, and communities who also carry the institution. Conversely, romanticizing founder chemistry can hide unequal economics or undocumented authority. Precision makes collaboration visible without pretending harmony.

## Reader fieldwork
1. List every recurring decision and who actually makes, advises, approves, records, and can reverse it.
2. Attach corporate, contract, account, and practice evidence separately.
3. Map economics and information access without assuming title equals value.
4. Review seven rupture scenarios with corporate, employment, tax, and IP counsel as relevant.

## External production dependencies
Recorded performance, bespoke RN photography, participant releases, and counsel or specialist review are separate human-led productions. The editorial edition does not present them as finished recordings, permissions, or professional opinions.
