## Canonical thesis
A house code becomes credible through patterned decisions and meaningful exceptions across time—not through one viral object or the mechanical repetition of a motif.

## Complete editorial sequence
Recognition arrives gradually. Across seasons, viewers may begin to anticipate a proportion, construction logic, material tension, casting principle, image grammar, or refusal. Museum collections can make longitudinal comparison possible, while archival records provide dates and identifiers. Yet recurrence alone does not prove intention, ownership, distinctiveness, or institutional control; those remain separate historical and legal questions.

Seven seasons is used here as an observation window, not a magical threshold. The study asks what repeated, what changed, what disappeared, and which collaborators carried the decision. It also records counterexamples, because a code that cannot survive an exception is merely a uniform. Copyright and trade-dress guidance impose additional caution: an abstract style or aesthetic is not automatically protected, and any legal analysis is fact- and jurisdiction-specific.

### 01 · SAMPLE — Is the comparison set honest?
Define seasons, object types, images, dates, sources, missing records, and selection criteria before describing a pattern. Do not cherry-pick only the most recognizable work.

Evidence: PROPOSAL · S21, S25, S98

### 02 · CODE — What exactly recurs?
Code silhouette, proportion, material, construction, color, gesture, image, language, casting, and refusal as separate observable fields. Keep description distinct from interpretation.

Evidence: INFERENCE · S67, S74, S75

### 03 · EXCEPTION — What does change reveal?
Record deliberate departures, commercial compromises, collaborator interventions, technical limits, and failed experiments. Exceptions show whether the method governs more than a motif.

Evidence: PROPOSAL · S11, S72

### 04 · CLAIM — What may be said or protected?
Separate cultural recognition, creator testimony, trademark evidence, product-design trade dress, copyrightable expression, design rights, and unresolved legal questions. Route protection claims to jurisdiction-specific counsel.

Evidence: VERIFIED · S91, S92, S93

## Counterargument
Longitudinal coding can flatten fashion into measurable sameness, reward consistency over growth, or assign every recurring feature to the visible founder. The counterweight is exceptions, contributor evidence, historical context, and permission for the institution to change.

## Reader fieldwork
1. Select seven consecutive seasons using a declared source rule.
2. Code ten observable fields and preserve counterexamples.
3. Interview contributors about one continuity and one rupture.
4. Separate cultural pattern claims from any trademark, copyright, or design-right conclusion.

## External production dependencies
Recorded performance, bespoke RN photography, participant releases, and counsel or specialist review are separate human-led productions. The editorial edition does not present them as finished recordings, permissions, or professional opinions.
